“Up until this point, I’ve only been sexually attracted to women,” Garfield said. Garfield explained that while he considers himself heterosexual, he’s not closed off to the idea of having a relationship with another man.
“I think part of what I was trying to say was about inclusion, and about that openness to my impulses,” the actor clarified in his OUT interview. Last year, while playing the character Prior Walter on stage in London, Garfield was quoted as saying that he was “a gay man… without the physical act,” causing some controversy.
